New captain takes the helm at NME
Terje Lillenes is appointed new Director General at Norway Maritime Exporters (NME). He replaces Ole Henæs that takes a position at Innovation Norway in Vietnam.

“Growing the global networks will be one of my biggest assignments as it has been for my predecessor” says Terje Lillenes. “Since 1995, Norwegian Maritime Exporters (NME) has served as a vital link between Norwegian maritime companies and the global markets. Operating in an industry characterized by fierce competition and the emergence of dynamic new markets, Norwegian Maritime Exporters and our members are busier than ever”.
Lillenes has an extensive and long involvement and experience in the maritime industry and has been positioned for several periods abroad. “Getting Terje aboard will help us moving the organization in the right direction”, states Chairman of the Board, Tor A. Svanes, managing director at Navtor AS. “Norway maritime Exporters is heading for challenging, but interesting times and we acknowledge that we need people with knowledge and industry understanding and Terje Lillenes is a person that will add this to our organization”
